Art That is Now Gone

Art Now Gone

Here are the paintings and drawings that sold at two recent community craft shows. These art pieces are newly adopted due to the Herculean efforts, of my dear friends who help me. I love it when art pieces find new homes! Not only does it help the pocketbook, it spreads love as it gives credibility to the endless hours spent throughout my artist life perfecting skills. Many, many, many hours.

I remember seeing how a persons face transforms as they pick up a piece of my art, with their expression suddenly becoming full of awe and love.

Never doubt, how important art really is.

To me, witnessing this beautiful event is almost a magical experience. It makes the trials and tribulations with learning, practicing, and perfecting skills all throughout my life as an artist, seem totally worthwhile after all.

Larry and Linda Pointer are such wonderful blessings to me and many others. They included my art along with their own crafts, being sold to raise funds for their favorite tax deductible charity at these shows. People enjoying the art, and made comments along with their purchases. Linda saw the pleasure on the faces of the people, as they shopped at their table. Take a look at the charity they are supporting.

“HRC Ministries.”

Please feel free to donate, if you feel drawn to. Slavery – HRC Ministries is setup to assist with escape and rehabilitation of people trapped in Human Trafficking (Sex Slavery).

These pieces of art have been discovered, chosen, and adopted into new homes. I am feeling quite positive about having more space in the studio, which I will just keep filling back up with art if well enough.

If you’d like something similar to any of these let me know, I’d be glad to make one for you on commission.

SWS Member Show 2019 announced

Granite Falls HikeWe just got the information at our monthly meeting last Saturday that the Spokane Watercolor Society here in Spokane WA will have our SWS Member Show 2019, again at the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy
Community Building lobby
opening on First Friday in April 2019.

This has me gearing up to concentrate on plein air painting outside to get a great piece to enter between now and then. I am heading out the door on snowshoes with my dog, Max to discover great images as I walk today.

The Spokane Watercolor Society Membership Show 2019, has a show theme of, “Nature” this year. There is an opening reception as part of Spokane’s First Friday Art celebration on April 5th from 5-8pm. All of the hanging watercolor paintings by our members will be for sale and will be on display from April 5th through April 26th 2019. The Inland Northwest Land Conservancy Lobby hours are weekdays 9AM-4PM (no weekend days).

The host is the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy
Community Building lobby

which is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that helps willing landowners place conservation easements on their properties. They are focused on protecting land in watershed areas. The show location is in their Community Building lobby, at 35 West Main Avenue, in downtown Spokane WA 99201 (corner Browne and Main).

We invite you to come meet the artist’s and enjoy refreshments or even learn to paint at our teaching table. We may have some of our plein air artists painting at the event. Artistic fun at the opening reception and raffle on First Friday 5-8pm. That night there will be unframed additional small works and cards for sale.

juried in YAY!

I entered a painting  named “Jazz”, into the Spokane Watercolor Society Juried Show and just received notice that it was accepted into the show. I tried two times before and was not accepted, this is the first time I was so there is truth to the old saying, “If at first you don’t succeed, then try, try, try, again.”

BIG SMILE!!!

I won’t show you the actual painting but I can show you the small painting I did years ago that inspired it. You know we keep doing it till it comes out right, us artist’s.
